I'm sure a lot of Capital fans wanted to blow up the core every year when they lost. They kept it together and eventually won.

I don't think the core needs to be blown up. I think you have a lot of guys who were not prepared for the playoffs, and I think you have a burnt out James Neal who is playing without any passion.

I think some guys need to be sat. I'm not sure who specifically but it is clear some guys don't have their heads screwed on properly. I also think Brodie is dragging Gio down, and has single handily been responsible for 2 huge Colorado moments in games that killed anything we had going. He is killing offensive chances, routinely gets caught in the D zone defending for LONG shifts, and allows Mckinnon to generate excitement since Mckinnon is playing on his side. For someone whose game is entirely centered around skating he has been absolutely terrible in carrying the puck or helping the transition game. Just an absolutely brutal effort from someone counted on to play top minutes against the top guy on the other team who lines up on his side.
