Not sure why anybody would be amazed. Outside of game 1 he’s been a total no show. He’s been playing small and scared and his game went backwards when it mattered most.
It’s perfectly logical to be wondering if Gaudreau/Monahan have what it takes to win with. Because you’d have to be loyal to a fault not to be questioning it.
