What I wonder if, is one round enough to get that experience? Luckily for this group, aside from Giordano, the window is just opening. Key players are getting their first playoff experience. What this playoff has shown is that being a top seed with home ice doesn't mean that much. Just get in.

We all want to crucify certain players, but realistically they're not going anywhere.

It sucks that it's whole years of our lives, but I do believe that on the whole this year is a stepping stone and the Flames are no longer just also rans, but legit contenders. This year is not a one off.

This sounds like a post mortem, because it kind of feels that way. Its not over until it's over.

It really is too bad that this amazing season is likely to end this way. But in the grand scheme its worth considering just where this group actually is.

In the interest of the last glimmer of hope, what were the chances that the Avs were going to win 3 straight against the top team in the west? Now what are the chances the top team in the west can win 3 straight against the bottom wild card team?.

Really?

Monahan: 3rd playoffs
Gaudreau: 3rd playoffs
Backlund: 3rd playoffs
Bennett: 3rd playoffs
Tkachuk: 2nd playoffs

The problem with this team is the center position as a whole. The Flames have slowest and softest group of centers of all playoff teams and it's not even close. IMHO we aren't going anywhere in the playoffs with Mony, Backs and Janko playing #1C, #2C and #3C. This group of centers is not built for the playoffs.
