I don't even think the right Stone in the Flames lineup will be a saviour for this team. Vegas can win without having Stone in the lineup.
Think about it, Bennett has been playing great in this series. It takes more than two or three players who are giving it all every night, let alone one high priced player who may or may not work out. The price for Stone was and is obviously too high if you don't want to trade away the future and present players just to go into the playoffs with the only hope. It would have made more sense to pick up few guys with size to provide more grit. When 3/4 of your forward lines are either soft and/or small, that's not a Stanley Cup contender team!
