Next season won’t be enjoyable at all no matter how high they are in the standings. Everyone will assume they’ll falter in playoffs or have a “I’ll wait till April” kind of mindset.
I really enjoyed the regular season this year, but if this ends so abruptly, they could break The league record for wins next year and it will be a big “meh” for most.

I agree, but right now I’m not even excited for game 5. That’s the worst. I didn’t expect them to win the cup this year, but would it have killed them to make it past round 1 for once? I’m 25 years old and they’ve made it to round two twice for Christ sakes.
