Seriously though, Albertans spoke clearly, and it will be interesting to see what happens when none of the campaign rhetoric translates into actual policy that benefits Albertans. Sure, the carbon tax will be repealed...and the feds will impose theirs the very next day. Where will all these magical jobs that were promised going to come from exactly? Will we have a meaningless referendum on equalization, given that that province has no involvement in the collection or disbursement of those payments?
I predict in 2 years from now, downtown office vacancy will be the same or higher, unemployment will remain close to current levels, and there will be no significant gains in resource pricing. In my opinion, the factors that are driving the most significant economic issues are controlled by market forces far outside of provincial influence...no matter who is premier.

This may be true. As was stated earlier it could be really ugly or really good.
It was not getting better with that NDP budget. At least with UCP it could be really good. Voters will take that chance.
