The Flames have been an excellent home team all season, but I am often weirdly more nervous about how they perform at the Saddledome than they do on the road. It feels like most of the glaring defensive guffaws, or brain cramps by forwards tend to occur on home ice, even in spite of the fact that the Flames's record at home is fantastic.
I think they are an even better team on the road. They play a stronger systems game, it's tighter checking, and it feels like they don't chase as much and end up getting dummied into bad penalties. I was sceptical heading into this series that Colorado could win a game at the Saddledome, but was always confident that the Flames can win in Denver. I think the real Flames show up tonight.
GFG.
