Yeah that was a really odd qualifying, and even practice. Just never expected Merc to be ahead of Ferrari. Even Max would be right there with both Ferraris had he not been shafted in Q3. I wonder if Ferrari has a cooling problem and has had to turn the engine down again. Today was quite a bit warmer and would've been more noticeable than yesterday. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold again which will help Ferrari.
I "almost" feel bad for Max...he did get shafted on that last lap attempt. Vettel and both Renaults passed him and he ran out of time to get a final attempt. RBR should know how much time is left and tell him, but it is an etiquette thing. I'd be VERY leery into turn 1 if I'm Vettel...
Nice to see both Renaults up where they should be. Haas really turned it around as well after terrible practices. McLaren disappointed, and Giovannazi didn't even get out (same issue as Leclerc in Bahrain, dropped cylinder).
