Not saying the Flames will sweep here or anything, but that first victory felt important, I thought the Flames (both teams actually) were a little tentative, playing a sort of "I don't want to be the guy who makes a mistake" brand of hockey for the first period. There was not a lot of flow, pretty tight checking and lots of stick-work, little whacks at the puck. I thought once Mangiapane scored it was like they could breathe a little and play their game, and the truth is simply that the Flames are a better deeper team, and they will win this series because of that.
I think they'll win tonight, but if they don't, I'm not especially worried.
