Cowboys was the second place i went out on my first ever night in Calgary. The first was just a few drinks in the Palliser as i had to change some currency. As we walked in past the huge line-up i had no idea what to expect, i was thinking club type place. My now wife was an Outrider at the time so all the people are talking to her and already knew of me through her so that was great. I don't think i payed for my first 5 drinks because people kept buying for me. I met some drunk guys who kept telling me i was "so london" and heaping praise on me. Then some girl tried to eat my face style kiss me and later on grabbed the ol' crown jewels with a little too much passion. I ended up getting hammered, learning how to dance to country music which i found so funny. I even got a shout out from the DJ which was nice. That was my first night in Calgary and i loved it. Went there a few more times while i was there and always liked the atmosphere apart from a few people who just didn't like the look of me or my accent and tried to provoke me into a fight. So anyway goodbye Cowboys, thanks for the goodtimes.
Where is the best place to go in Calgary these days? I used to go to Tantra and Mint which were really good when i was there. We used to start off in Lucky because my Wife's friend's boyfriend worked there and gave us free drinks all night, bonus! I used to live opposite a bar called Crush which looked pretty decent but was always empty, is the still there?
