I like that comparable. Throughout his career his offensive support has been Eberle, Palmieri and like half a season of fresh faced 18 year old McDavid with little support coming from the backend. Put him on a team where he isn't the defacto number 1 threat, or in most cases only, and see what he can do.
Even a second line could shift the focus a bit off him, but he's never had that luxury and was still able to score 93 points when the rest of his team struggled for 50.
Like Kessel, I see him as a "number 1 guy" on most teams but if he's your number 1 guy, you're not going to make a lot of noise.
