The fact that they are sitting by rubbing their greasy palms together in anticipation pretty much showcases why the NHL draft system is still a sham. The annual NHL charity drive -- keep giving the same old drunk homeless guy his handouts and he never gets anywhere with it.
System needs a complete overhaul, I don't know how that isn't totally apparent to everyone involved in the game.
I realize that not every team in the lottery is the Oilers but I still think its a joke that failure is rewarded to this degree. I think all teams should have a chance at first overall too. Why punish success?
