I'm not sure about that. The issue was exposed before the deadline, and Kenney did nothing, not even parachute a new candidate in as he likes to do in certain ridings.
What does Kenney see in Smith that makes Albertans wrong in asking for his removal? Or what does Smith have on Kenney to retain his favored status like this? These are important questions to be asking our future government. This is extremely concerning.
It also begs the question what kind of vetting process the UCP had while finding candidates to nominate. Kenney promised in 2018 that there would be no bozo eruptions and "lake of fire" candidates and he would make sure of it.
How did so many slip through, especially since many of these transgressions (including his own) happened well before the election?
