To answer your question, here's how: I'm not voting for a team based on the Flames' chances to beat them. I'm voting based on who would make an entertaining series. For me, that's either Dallas or Colorado. I don't particularly want to watch 4-7 games of Arizona Coyotes hockey. I'll gladly watch 7 games of what Mackinnon did above, or this kind of thing (acknowledging that Stastny doesn't play for them anymore, Rantanen is equally capable of awesome stuff like this):
The Flames should be able to beat
any of the teams they might potentially face. If they manage to lose to a wild card team they sure as hell weren't getting through SJS/VGK or the winner of the Central, and don't deserve to try.
