That said, I wouldn't want to cram my family into the Jeep because I'm sure the backseat would suck, but I wouldn't want a Ranger, Frontier, Tacoma, etc. for the same reason, either.

Well like you said, you have an F-150. Would you really want to spend an extra few thousand for a smaller vehicle that rides worse and can do even less? Subjective things like looks and the brand aside, it's still squarely in the camp of 'why bother' for me
