He plays lights out, great. He craps the bed, oh well, you start Ritter against LA who should be a lock for two points and helps keep him confident. If you start Rittich tonight and he has a bad game and poops the bed then you have a problem imo because your guy you were leaning toward your #1 just took a massive confidence blow.

I don’t know how anyone can look at the last 15 games and conclude the team is leaning Rittich to start in the playoffs.
I do believe Peters hasn’t made a final decision, but all signs point to Smith imo. I do t even think you can make a case for Rittich given that Smith is starting g tonight.
Could it change? Sure. Smith has a bad game tonight and the door opens for Rittich. But right now the net is clearly Smith’s to lose. And it has been for some time IMO.
