Bishop has the team 29th in goal scoring at 26-15-2 with him. Only the Ducks and Kings score fewer goals than they do. His backup, who's been statistically excellent this year with a .925 SV%, is only 15-16-5 on the win column.
I actually do agree that his lack of games played hurts his "award" chances, but in terms of actual value, it's crazy. Think of how many 2-1, 1-0, or 3-2 types of games he must have barely scraped by with to have his team in the playoff hunt. Stats aside he's also the best puck handling goalie in the NHL... he's what the Flames want to believe Mike Smith is.
Kucherov and Giordano are the primary reasons their teams are at the top of their conference.
Bishop and Crosby are the primary reasons their teams aren't way out of the playoff race and in the Jack Hughes sweepstakes. Yes, even Crosby... the Penguins when he's not on the ice have not played anything like a playoff team.
