The problem for the Yotes is that they are not playing with an $80M budget, they are playing with a $65M budget (think 5 years ago for most teams).
$5.85M per is 1st line money for them, they can't pay that for a 2nd liner that is putting up 45-50 points (which is what we can expect from him if he is on the 2nd line and not getting the PP1 time).
Right now, Schmaltz has been playing with Keller because of all their injuries but will he when they're healthy? He is not a 1st line player, he's a 2nd line player.
