Hey I wouldn't blame him either, but me personally would take it in stride as it has happened to me before and it hurt like a bitch but I instantly knew it was accidental, which is why i'm careful when I play outdoor shinny on a busy rink, but I can't control other people.
If anything, this guy will stay clear in the future. It's just a crappy/akward feeling causing an injury to someone you don't know.
But as one of his buddies said, that's a part of hockey. All I can do is appologize and hell, i'd rather take one off the head than be the one who caused it.
It was a pretty weak shot, I was really suprised it hit him, and that it actually made him bleed.
Maybe I should go to the Heckle and take out some Oilfans...
