I don't think Gaudreau is playing his best right now, but he is the only one on that line who drives play. Yeah, he turns it over sometimes. He's a tiny dude.
But Monahan does nothing. And has done basically nothing since the all-star break. And Monahan's terrible play is affecting the whole line's production. He didn't get moved down to third line for no reason. Derek Ryan took his job last night.
