From what I’ve been able to put together through the years boomers wife has a pretty good gig as a pharmacist. This might be a work, life, balance thing as he does have 3 fairly young kids. He also recently visited and had the guy on from heart fit clinic maybe a 3 o’clock in the morning wake up is no longer healthy. Could also be the Rob Kerr affect to leave radio altogether for something else. Someone mentioned on his Twitter as well he is going into a contract negotiation, maybe an issue there? Remember, love them or hate them Matt & Eric walked away from Jack FM (allegedly) because of contract negotiation issues.
