This. I think the Flames fans talking like there was still a chance of signing Fox after he went back for year 3 were being optimistic and hopeful.
I kept getting told we don't know anything yet based on a third year return, but it was just so little time between the end of the third year and getting to become a complete free agent to earn a huge contract with ANY team in the NHL.
Plus, it's a Harvard degree. He was always completing it, imo, and Brad absolutely scored by getting him into a big trade.
