This item is a hybrid which combines an introductory reference to statements made by Australian politicians about Muslims following the July 2005 London Tube bombings with an editorial about immigrants written by a U.S. Air Force veteran following the September 2001 attacks on the U.S., attributing the entire result to Julia Gillard, who was the Prime Minister of Australia from 2010 to 2013. In fact, none of the statements quoted in the above example was actually made by Prime Minister Gillard.
