the original propogandists for the party in the 20s were pornographers and jew-baiters (strange term from back then), real odd individuals.
the public image of national socialism was anti-homosexual and the sexual leanings of the SA leaders was used against them as an excuse for the night of the long knives when the SS rounded them all up, executing a large number and jailing the rest.
homosexuals were among the other targeted groups for concentration camps and later death camps, along with jews, gypsies, communists, etc.
but the high party officials and the court mystics etc. still maintained some kind of warrior-homosexuality, this is something that has hung around the elite class of western culture since greek times.
these days in the states it's referred to as 'the velvet mafia', it's alluded to in the movie 'JFK' and many other strange little bits and pieces in movies etc.
very strange to hear all this 'family value' and gay bashing language from those that lead these double lives, jeez that congressman that was just busted for sexual instant messages was the leader of the missing child foundation!
