Frolik is quietly having a decent year. He would be on pace for 46 points over 82 games. That pretty much ties or beats his best seasons over his career. Not bad for a 31 year old player not getting regular top 6 ice time. I know the stuff his agent was saying suggested that Frolik was unhappy about his usage, but I am glad we kept him. He is like a Martin Gelinas kind of player. Consistent work ethic and can play up and down the line-up and contribute.
Zucker's career output and his output this season is very similar to Frolik's. The plus is that he is is 4 years younger and signed. But for this season, going into the playoffs, I don't see Zucker as an upgrade worth adding a 1st rounder for (even a late first rounder).
