Well, since the NDP don't want to talk about their own record, I'll do it for them.
Under their leadership, according to its own report from AHS (17-18), wait lists are out of control & the overall performance of the health system has continued to deteriorate over the past 3 yrs.
Wait times for all four elective surgeries reported by AHS for 2017-18 were longer than in 2016-17, and months longer than in 2014-15, the final year before the May 2015 general election.
Access to cancer specialists was slightly worse: wait time for referral to a radiation oncologist was 5.3 weeks compared to 5 in 2016-17; for a medical oncologist, 5.7 weeks compared to 5.1 in 2016-17.
All six measures of Emergency Department access were worse than in 2016-17; overall access was worse than in 2014-15.
Data reported separately by the @HQCA shows emergency departments are more crowded with admitted patients waiting for inpatient beds.
A core component of the NDPs healthcare platform was to move the system towards continuing care (at home, for example), but again, under their leadership, the amount of patients waiting for that type of care was 17.4% in 2017-18, by far the highest its EVER been.
By all means: attack your political opponents, hold them accountable for the things they have said & done, champion the rights of LGBTQ folks, women & new Cdns, it is important work - but the train personal attacks as a distraction tool from the NDP record is egregious at best
