Although the second sentence is technically correct (the best kind of correct), it does not mean he projects to be lost in the playoffs. Players take time to adjust to new teams. Remember Hamilton’s first 20? Horrifying.
I am still, however, fine with the sentiment of the first sentence. They probably would have to work for it.
