It’s an interesting way to practice the PP/PK. I like it.

The thing about turning the sticks upside down for the PKers and using the butt end is that it doesn’t encourage better body positioning. Having no blade means the players have to defend a bit different and it isn’t representative of a real game situation. That’s done purely for the benefit of the PP so they can practice easier.

But cutting the blade in half will reduce PK effectiveness, helping the PP practice, but is close enough to real game conditions that it’ll help the pk too. If you can intercept or deflect passes with half a blade, you’ll have no trouble with a full one.
