Almost all of those have him at 6, one at 5, the last one at 8. Tkachuk was consistently ranked better but it wasn't any kind of a reach. Certainly not "most people thought it was a bad pick" or "people were laughing at Benning".

And yet, this is precisely how people responded. As Enoch pointed out, the gap between Tkachuk and Juolevi was vast, even if they were ranked closely together.

It was a bad pick. It was bad at the time and looks even worse now.
