No as mentioned, the Tkachuk one was a miss and not in hindsight.
People who listened to canucks radio weren't surprised by the miss because Benning was telegraphing they were taking a D-man no matter what for weeks but Tkachuk was clearly BPA.
I recall the gasps in the audience when he was taken instead of Tkachuk. I'm sure there is a video.
BUt really, no matter if it is fans hind sight or not a GM is paid for his foresight and they have made two massive blunders on high picks. And true enough they've made two very good picks as well (Boeser, Pettersson). We'll see what Hughes can bring. But for a supposed drafting guru it seems inexcusable to miss on those picks and for the franchise to still have zero depth after 5 years.
