I think his skating is on par with Tkachuk from my viewings. That being said he has great hands so with his size he is a guy that would be great to park in front of the net where he screens the goalie well while being a pain to try and push out of there. You are totally right, he would be a gamble but giving him a look in Stockton would be worth it imo. At worst he would be a depth player for the Heat, at best he ends up being a gem.
