Thought I'd share, among other things I build stave snare drums. Wish I had complete ones on hand, but heres a bunch I have on the go right now.
Top left is a 13x7 maple. Will be a 8 lug pattern with diecast hoops, sharp double 45 bearing edges. 5/8" thick, its gonna have some crack to it. Bottom left is a 14x6.5 birdseye maple with purple heart strips. 10 lug pattern and will finish this one off with tube lugs and single flange hoops. Top right is a 13x7 oak, 8 lug pattern with triple flange hoops. Bottom right is a 14x8 bubinga shell. Will use small lugs and triple flange hoops, vintage style bearing edges and beds. This shell weighs about 13 pounds as it sits, its gonna be phat. Need to cut bearing edges and drill and add hardware yet, then finish.

This is a Tama walnut monoply (steambent) shell that I recut the bearing edges on, as well as touched up the snare beds.
Rounded double 45 with vintage style snare bed.

Woodshop time is very cathartic, just wish there was more time!
