Agree with the take that it had more of an old school vibe. Similar feeling to “The First Avenger” and “Iron Man” to me.

Also to top up on Cecil’s point above I’d take any review of Larson’s performance as being bland or robotic with grain of salt since IMO that’s means they missed the plot.

Overall thought it was good but not great. Did what it needed to do in terms of introducing the character in advance of End Game, and gve is some good history on Fury too which I think helps tie the entire arc together.

It was done intentionally and even referenced in the movie. The Kree leader told Vers at the time that “you need to suppress your emotions”. She didn’t know who she was, had no memory past 6 years ago, and was being turned into a weapon by the Kree. Then as the movie evolves you can see the emotion and human quality one back as she learns her past. Overall thought it was good but not great.
