It is a bit myopic to chalk this up to a simple downswing. This team hasnt really passed the eye test for over a month if we’re being honest.

I'm all over the site pointing out how poorly the top players have played for six weeks, so they're is nothing myopic about pointing out that all teams have swoons. In fact I'd assume it's pretty consistent that said swoons for all teams come when their top players don't play well; so no I don't think Calgary is all that unique.
And I wouldn't say the team hasn't passed the eye test. The top line hasn't, but the bottom six hasn't been this good all season, and a defenseman on the bottom pairing is emerging as a potential break out player.
