I knew it was going to be a long game when Bennett's first shift he was 50 feet from the puck and got taken down by Demers in front of the ref. The great equalizer to a skill team is being able to gum up and slow the game down.

I agree with you. Although I hate that the teams have to adjust to officiating standards 2/3 the way through the season. What other so called professional league does this? I was much rather enjoying the fast, free wheeling hockey in Dec and Jan. And not for the obvious reasons. Hell the 2 losses to TB were some of the best games I’ve seen in a long time (well, entertaining maybe not best)
Honestly I’m not even looking forward to the playoffs cuz I already know that this team won’t be allowed to use their speed and skill and they’re not built for this “rugby on ice” bullspit that has started ramping up the last few weeks. It’s just frustrating as all hell to try and watch this crap lately (NHL not the team)
