Quality > quantity. The eye test right now indicates the Flames aren't getting high quality shots that forces goalies to make tough saves.

I don't know if I totally agree with this.
In the Toronto game you had:
Czarnik on the feed from Bennett behind the net
Czarnik on the breakaway
Lindholm on the 2-1
Gaudreau in the slot
Tkachuk in the slot
Against Minny you had:
Czarnik disallowed goal
Gaudreau and Monahan passing play in the slot
Monahan in the slot/Frolik on the rebound
Bennett off the post
Against Vegas you had:
Disallowed goal
Hathaway tip in front
Tkachuk in the slot from Monahan
Monahan tip in front that almost went in
Gaudreau down mainstreet
Gio backhand in the slot
Gio attempt with the goalie pulled.
Against Arizona (which I think was their worst game by far) you still had:
The opening PP with 4-5 good opportunities
Lindholm off the post
Frolik in front
Andersson in front
Backlund in the high slot
I agree they definitely aren't playing as well as they can right now, but they have also ran into a string of hot goalies that have compounded the issue. All of the above were "royal road" type opportunities. They just aren't going in right now. I chalk up the last half of that Arizona game to being tired too.
