Also I know everyone is down on their play since the all star break but they are not the only ones:

Flames: 8-7-2
Knights: 8-7-1
Predators: 9-7-1
Jets: 8-8-2

So not that uncommon among west playoff teams right now. Only the Blues (13-3-1) and Sharks (10-3-1) have been playing well in the West since the break.

I still think they can get out of it. Think they got a little too comfortable with the 7 game win streak and having a big lead on the Sharks. Now that the Sharks seem to have caught them it’s time to see if they can play with some desperation again.

And really I do think that first goal was a bit of a back breaker (which is a bit concerning). They played a tough, playoff style game last night against Vegas, have to travel after a late start (and lose an hour). Then they came out tonight and dominated the first 10 minutes but first mistake they made ends up in the net and you could see the wind just come out of their sails.

Big game against Vegas Saturday. I think we see some fight and desperation in that one .
