I'm really down on Monahan right now. He's plodding out there right now, his shot doesn't look dangerous and he's just downright invisible most games. Gaudreau in turn has to overcompensate by trying too hard to beat guys one on one and it's leading to turnovers. I'd like to see Gaudreau get a shot with Jankowski right now who's playing very well right now.
Maybe Bennett can help pick up Monahan's game with his tenacity and heavy game whereas Gaudreau might will benefit from Jankowski who can play with a little more pace, can hold onto the puck a little longer and has that underrated shot that we don't see enough of. I'd like to see a practice where lines are completely mixed up just to try something different and maybe create a spark or throw-off the opposition's game plan.
