One other question to consider: are you planning on having more than one child? The reason I ask this is because you will find that while the "all in one" travel systems from Graco, Evenflo etc are great, the quality is such that they will only really last one child. We killed an Evenflo set with our first child (and we are careful with our things), and now had to buy a new stroller etc.
My wife chose a higher end Valco stroller, partly due to the fact it has large airfilled tires and will handle snowy sidewalks much better. Nice and light to lift too. Quinny stuff is also good, and you can even get some models small enough to fit in a Mini

. We bought a Peg Perego car seat with an adapter to fit into the Valco stroller.
If wish we had bought the Valco with our first child, as it is a much better engineered unit (aluminum, better seat materials etc). Then we could have used it for the second child also...
