The biggest downside IMO of Calgary is the cost of living. I'm the same age as you so trying to find a place to is proving to be quite expensive. Some websites to visit to look for rent are

http://www.homerent.ca/. To give you an idea, if you wanted a one bedroom apartment in the inner city, it would be $850 - $1100 a month.
