Especially now with so many so called insiders and agents looking to use the social media age and use the insiders who do have a media voice to try and gain leverage and start rumors, and some GMs have resorted to the same tactics in reciprocation, the fact that Treliving, like Sutter, plays his cards close to his best, and takes care of the players on his team with phone calls like this, plays out well both short term and long term, as players and potential players feel they can trust their GM to deal straight up with them at all times.

When the Flames owners got sold a bill of goods by the guy to the guy who’s whole strategy for for the job was ”I’ll do the opposite from what Darryl did”, which is what they wanted to hear if ever so briefly, they found out very soon, how soon, that the Flames organizational reputation went into the toilet under someone who didn’t have the trust and respect around the league, and conducted business in a trashy way.

Burke brought that reputation back from the brink, and a guy like Treliving and the trust and respect he has gained and builds on, is a excellent person to be building up the way the Flames are perceived when doing buisness with players, agents, and other teams.
In what way did Feaster conduct business in a trashy way
