He is definitely a top 5 defenseman to ever play for Calgary as it stands now, and this is the second time he has been considered for the Norris, and we all know if he stayed healthy the first time, he probably would have won it. The race this season is tight, and Brent Burns is looking like the front runner, but if Calgary finishes first place in the West, that makes Gio look really good.
If he wins a Stanley cup, he climbs up the list in a hurry as maybe the best 1 or 2 defenseman in franchise history.

Why does this keep popping up?
There's some weird misinformation floating around out there.
He's won 2 playoff games. Minimal yes. but he was won 2. Games 3 and 4 in 2007 WCQF versus Detroit. Scored a goal in one of them too.
