Flames Fan Fest in 1999/2000, had just moved here from Regina (hence the Pats t-shirt, which Derrick Morris loved), hadn't watched much NHL or Flames hockey but my dad figured this would be a good time. Went and met the entire team, couple players didn't really give us kids the time of the day (cough: Savard) but Iggi asked us about playing hockey, school, our friends and posed for this awesome picture. He was the one of the most friendly people I had ever met. I was hooked. Favorite player, favorite team!
At that same time I got my pedestal jersey signed by Jarome Iginla and continued to wear it through the 2004 playoff run. 17th ave partying every other night for 2+ months took its toll on the jersey (its honestly disgusting). Couldn't wash it during the run for obvious superstition reasons. After we lost (it was in!) it went into the closet never to be worn again. Busted it out the other night as I was considering wearing it Saturday night but its pretty gross LOL.
Think I might frame it beer/party stains and all. Its 2004 run game used!
