Because he’s being press accessible and friendly, and that’s mainly because he’s a marionette to Lowe, and really is not making any tough calls.

His best strategy if he wants to get a break in hockey, is,in the next months, ride this wave of PR to get an assistant GM job outside of the Oilers, where he will actually end up learning something and gaining contacts, not get laughed at on the phone and being propped up by the Oilers executives decisions.
