The best part of this streak is that the Flames have really solidified their defensive play. Sure, Smith has been much better, but the team isn't allowing a whole lot of great chances for the other team. Even though they gave up 4 goals to an unstoppable Pittsburgh power play, the Flames have allowed 2 goals or less over the last 5 games. That's how good teams win in the playoffs. Couple that with a deep offensive group and the Flames will show why they didn't need to add any big talent at the deadline. Just keep Smith together with scotch tape and we'll be fine.
