From personal experience I can tell you the communication with Refs in games can be good.
The communication and accountability with the Referee Society in Calgary/Alberta is appalling. There is no accountability for the referee when a player is injured as a result of inaction by the ref during the game.
Horrible standard of officiating in the province.
