Vegas could afford to give up their best prospect because of the depth of their system.

calgary didn't have that luxury, or simply, BT refused to add our only blue chip prospect to the trade equation.

Kylington OR Dube + 2x1 + B prospect would have been my threshold, so i am glad BT stuck to his guns.

I don't think BT was playing "4D" chess; they had an internal ceiling and stuck to it. Simple as that.

if rumors are to be believed, Calgary did try hard for Stone, Zucker and Simmonds, but could not get those deals done... not because of a lack of effort however.
