No, but I think when he's a clear UFA, you might pay more per year for a shorter deal. Plus, most of those projections were at $8.5 - a whole million less. I doubt he's going down to 8.5 US in Calgary, especially with tax implications making it an even bigger gap.
My point is only that he really would screw up the cap situation.
