I'm not going to lose any sleep over the Flames walking away if they felt that the price was too high. In interviews the Flames basically stated that if they're going to trade their first or high prospects that the person coming back better be part of the core going forward.
It the Sens weren't allowing teams to talk to Stone's management team, then they were playing on teams hopes that they could sign him with no guarantee that he would.
The Flames aren't going to pay a premium on hope, so good for them for standing pat. Hopefully Dorian gets stuck holding the bag on Stone and they lose him over the summer.
