But I would doubt Trotz is doing anything drastically systemically especially differently in NYI, from, say, Gulutzan in CGY, Hitchcock in EDM, or Julien in MYL, especially not 5v5 (PK, maybe).

I haven't seen anything overly flawed in Peters' systems and lately we haven't even been making risky pinches. We've had some defensive breakdowns often due to guys like Jankowski and Monahan simply being a step behind om coverage, but overall I would say our goaltenders' performance for the season on a whole is based on their ability to stop pucks as individuals.

If we had Korn and the Isle had Sigalet I highly doubt the Isle would be pacing for the Jennings.
Yeah don't want to turn this into a Sigalet bashing thread, but goalie coaches do matter, I agree with you on that.

Bobrovsky's success in Columbus coincided with Ian Clarke working with him. Since Clarke left for Vancouver, Bobrovsky's game has deteriorated and Markstrom has turned into a near elite goalie.

I think Trotz should get more credit then you give though. I don't think it's fair to even put Gulutzan in the same sentence as Trotz. Trotz is a very good coach, a very good defensive coach. All his teams have been stingy defensively.
